When next we meet, it will be after Christmas, so recognizing that you want to be jolly I will try to stay positive about the thought of Mitt Romney as our nominee.
Ummmm... well... Yeah, about that. I can't.
How about this, "He has been around a long time and it is his turn." There! That’s a positive, right? Worked out well for McCain, and Bob Dole and so on. If by "well" you mean "Get your butt handed to you in the general election".
Let me be clear, I'd vote for Mitt if I had to. I'd hold my nose with one hand and pull the lever with the other. Even realizing that he is a squish moderate who will sell us out with Harry Reid, I'd STILL vote for him to get rid of Obama. And you know what? I don’t think that will be good enough.
You see I am not your concern. I am going to vote -- count on it. Your concern is really that my attitude, best described as "not excited but", is actually prevalent within much of the electorate. Ma & Pa Kettle? They are on board, but will not call their friends or arrange a carpool to the polling booth.
They aren't excited, I am not excited, no one is.
But it is his turn, he has the backing of the establishment, and lots of money -- Mitt could win the nomination.
Our loss.
Go Mitt... yeah... wooo hooo... I could Plotz from the excitement. Oy.

Could I be wrong? Is the country so disgusted with Obama they would vote for a damp dishrag instead?
I hope so, because that’s Mitt.
Still, let’s count our blessings. It won’t be Paul or Bachman (at least Mitt is sane) and you never know... Perry or Newt may stop Mitt's run in the end.
And we all say, "Amen"!
