Race Card

OK, you guys know I'm not Rick Perry's biggest fan, but even I see the Washington Post's recent attack as baseless character assassination at its worst. Jazz at Hot Air has a decent write-up here.

In brief: Some 25-30 years ago Rick Perry's dad gets a hunting lease. At the entrance to the lease was a rock with a racial slur on it. Rick Perry pointed it out, and his father painted over the rock. Then they went hunting, and because of this, Rick Perry is a racist.

Ummm.... what?

Yeah, I can't follow the logic either. Were they supposed to salt the Earth and storm away? Call for a nuclear strike? WHAT?  Besides, that was actually a pretty upstanding thing to do -- stamping out racism and all that. Kudos to Rick Perry and his dad. Razzies to the Washington Post (aka Pravda on the Potomac).

I'm tired of the race card, besides the media doesn't have any credit left.

And Rick, maybe you want to think about how it feels to have baseless accusations of racism thrown at you, before you throw out anymore "heartless" claims?  Just a thought.

See you next week!
