Really?

 Brushfire of Freedom

Ram Rants

This blog falls under the category of “see, I told you so”.  This is largely due to the fact that, well, I told you.  It sometimes amazes me that so much evidence exists supporting the points we’ve made and yet the left seems to march forward as if we couldn’t be more wrong.  It’s either blind faith in their holy Liberal religion, or blind stupidity.  I won’t hazard a guess as to which.

On a recent visit to China, Joe Biden compared himself to King George VI.  I believe a brief perusal of our Brushfire archive will result in several items regarding the arrogance and aristocratic attitude of this regime.  It’s always nice when they let Joe out.  If nothing else, he gives us some significant insight into the truth about these Liberals.  I’ve been told by some that vindication is better than sex.  I am assuming they are simply doing it wrong.

Another interesting report this past weekend indicates a large number of power plants in the US will be shutting down.  It seems the asinine regulatory efforts of the EPA have simply made it too expensive for some plants to operate.  This should not be a surprise since it is exactly what Obama said we should expect.  This and higher energy costs which, Shazam! have assaulted our wallets even as this is written.  The only upside to all this is the potential reduction in broadcasts of Bill Mahr and other Liberal propaganda.

Rising energy costs mean cost increases in many of our products.  For those who attended Berkley Econ 101, this is called “inflation”.  Can you say “inflation”?  I thought you could.  If you pile inflation on top of the increasing unemployment rates, also a by-product of Obamanomics, you get a new record high in the Misery Index for the Obama Regime.  That’s right, boys and girls, it’s now harder to live on the paycheck you have, and fewer people have paychecks.  Thus the term “Misery Index”.  The upside to all this?  Well, hard to find really.  You’ll need to get past all those people in the unemployment lines.

For those who have jobs but were thinking of a quiet beach and a retirement martini, you may want to think again.  If you’re 401K is like most, it’s tied to the collapsing stock market.  Billions in capital assets have been lost in just the past few weeks due in large part to Obama’s policies.  Oh I know, he says it’s Congress, but most Americans know better.  You need look no further than his plummeting approval numbers to confirm this fact.  Fact is, he could blame Pelosi and Reid, but I don’t think Harry would be very happy with that.

If you’re more heavily vested in Social Security, you may want to hold off on packing those bags just yet.  It appears that program is having some solvency issues, likely due to the spiraling debt levels and the downgrade of our credit rating.  Yes another government entitlement program, designed to provide a short-term solution but that has become a lifetime staple, has finally started to suck the bottom of the cesspool.  You’re still paying taxes on this, right?  Me too.  Yet it’s still going broke.  What do you think that is?

Probably Bush’s fault.

All this fun and excitement and our beloved Dear Leader has high-tailed it off to the beach for a break of his own.  His bitches in the State Run Media have dutifully reported this as a “working vacation”.  More of your tax dollars being spent on this little adventure, which further complicates the deficit and debt issues he’s trying to ignore.  He’ll be back soon I’m sure, ready to run his “blame campaign” bus across the key election states, all at our expense again, of course.  Don’t expect a lot of sympathy from Barry and the bunch.  You’re just a revenue source for them, and you’ve yet to be tapped dry.  But you knew this already.
