Brushfire of Freedom

The hardest thing about watching the meltdown of the Obama regime is watching the associated impact on our nation. It’s like the Keystone Cops and Old Yeller running side-by-side on the big screen. Do you laugh or do you cry?
Barry and the Liberal Bunch, having spent more money in two years than other entire administrations, are screaming for more money as the ship begins to sink. The debt deal was a colossal failure and resulted in the first ever downgrade of US credit. The vaunted stimulus, the one that was supposed to prevent all this turmoil, has been shown time and again to be a failure. Obama and his buds want to do another stimulus, I guess to make sure that they were wrong the first time.
The Misery Index is at an all-time Obama high (12.76), higher than any time under the last two years of “W” and the Pelosi regime (11.47) and three full points higher than at any time under Bush without Pelosi in charge (9.79). Unemployment, a factor of the Misery Index, is running at 9.2%, a number not seen since May of 2009. In fact, Misery and unemployment have been on a steady increase since Obama took charge in 2009. The only thing keeping unemployment out of the double digits is the fact that most of those out of work are running out of unemployment welfare checks and being forced to fall completely out of the calculation. Obama’s solution for all this? Let’s have another jobs commission.
(Insert canned laughter)
The good news of course is that many Americans are more aware than ever before of the potential and perpetual failures of this administration. Obama has just hit a new low in the Gallup approval poll. You may not have known that unless you dug into the numbers, but his recent 39% approval is an indication that many Americans, not just some fringe group, are fed up with Barry and his liberal bullshit. When combined with some of the other numbers from this administration, it’s clear that things will only get worse for the Obama regime as 2012 rolls around.
A debt level that exceeds any level in history ($14+ Trillion) and climbs by the billions every day.
Unemployment above 8% for nearly three years, and no evidence that anything this administration has done is making an improvement. In fact, many economists are starting to hint that Obama’s policies will never really be able to resolve the unemployment “issue”
Misery at a new high. The index is a combination of unemployment and inflation. Don’t let them fool you. Inflation was reported at 3.57% in May, higher than it has been since October, 2008. You can try to blame Bush, but it would be hard to believe considering three years of policy changes by Obama and company.
Unemployment, inflation, misery, and debt all up. Not a good sign for Barry and the bunch. Approval in the toilet, an indication that America gets it. Also not a good sign for the Obama campaign. What shall we do? Let’s do a taxpayer-funded bus tour!
(Insert canned nervous laughter)
So Barry’s solution for al this? More taxes. It’s not that he’s spending too much, it’s that he doesn’t have enough to spend. Ignore the fact that tax increases reduce revenue (just ask New York and California). Barry believes if he can get more money, and spend more money, then everything will be alright. It’s not a matter of spending, it’s all about “revenue growth”.
(Insert sighs and groans)
Taxing your income at a time when inflation is rising is a guaranteed recipe for failure. If you have less to spend, because you are paying more in taxes, you will likely spend less. If you spend less, the economy will slow down. If the economy slows down, you could get laid off. If you get laid off, you have no income on which to pay taxes. You now have even less to spend, and the spiral continues downward. This is exactly where Obama’s policies will lead. If you don’t believe it, flash back to the 1970’s and take a gander at Jimmy Carter.
(Insert gasps of fear)
If it weren’t so dangerous and destructive, it would be comical. We simply can not afford to laugh any longer. No matter what happens in the next 18 months, we must make certain that this death spiral is stopped. Conservative leadership must be the focus of the 2012 elections. Obama, as funny as he may be as a perpetual joke, must be removed from office in the coming election to ensure this nation can return to the greatness that is its potential. This is no laughing matter.
