The Biggest Losers

Well let’s see.  We’ve covered the election, the GOP, the change in power, and the winners from 2010.  What’s left?

Ah, the losers.

Just as some of the biggest winners from the recent elections were not on the ballot, the biggest losers were not on the ballot.  The biggest losers from the 2010 election have been losing since 2008, but the outright rejection of Obama’s policies in this election have sealed their fate.  This election will result not only in a shift in power in Congress, but in the media.  It is in the media that you will find some of the biggest losers in the 2010 election.

Chris Matthews.  How’s that tingle going now, bud?  Chris was so far into the Obama camp, when he turned on his mic Obama’s nose lit up.  Any vestige of objectivity that might have remained after 2008 disappeared as the 2010 election approached.  Despite the dimming hopes of his liberal party, Chris stayed on the bandwagon, and rapidly lost the respect of nearly every free-thinking human left on the planet.

Keith Olbermann.  Keith ranted against the donations made to the GOP by the Fox News parent company saying it gave him one million more reasons to hate Fox News.  How brilliant.  Now we learn that KO, a big fan of BHO, was contributing the most he possibly could to Democrat candidates in this election cycle.  We now have about $7,500 more reasons to dislike Keith.  Unfortunately, there’s actually a policy at NBC that prohibits the donation of funds to political candidates, and this time it was actually enforced.  Keith was temporarily out a job for a day or two.  Hey what did you expect, accountability at NBC?

CNN.  The whole network, not anyone in particular.  Aside from the dismal rating ratings they received during the election coverage, the folks at CNN have been losing viewers almost as fast as Keith Olbermann.  It didn’t help that they displayed their complete disdain for their viewers by having reporters openly provoke American citizens at Tea Party rallies.  The videos of their actions went viral in hours, and most Americans realized that CNN was nothing more than a propaganda machine for the Obama regime.  Well, with the exception of a few Berkley grads.  Now, with Barry’s power crippled and fading, CNN finds it has fewer viewers and less potential ad income.  Next will come the inevitable layoffs, unless Barry buys the network with our tax dollars.

The New York Times / Newsweek / Time / et al.  Virtually all of the traditional print media has been suffering since they “came out” for Barry in 2008.  Now their readership is disappearing faster than the tingle in Chris Matthew’s leg.  When these guys get scooped by The National Inquirer, you know they are no more than lap dogs for the regime.  Circulation is down, ad revenue is down, and chances are one or more of these publications will disappear all together in the next two years.  It’s not the internet that is killing the print media, just as the folks at The Wall Street Journal.  The complete alignment with liberals and the failure to print actual news has made these publications valuable for only one thing, and it isn’t reading.  You know it’s bad when Americans can get more accurate reporting from Der Spiegel and The London Times than our local print.

Summary:  The biggest losers in the 2010 elections are the traditional, mainstream, state run media outlets that have been touting the agenda of the Obama regime since 2007.  They are no longer the free press, identified by the Constitution as the watchdogs of government.  They’ve become a collection of idealists who want to impact policy rather than report on events, and that is not their role.  Americans can see now, after 2008 and 2010, who is hiding under the sheep’s clothing.  The only difference between these media sources and Pravda is that Pravda occasionally stumbled on a fact.  I’d like to say I’m sorry to see them go but, much like the buggy whip, the days of the liberal media monopoly are gone.  The only question remaining is who will report their demise.
