Brushfire of Freedom
Ram Rants
Yes we can.
We can remember the false charges of racism and derision from the Democrats. We can remember their hatred, their disgusting labels, their sexual innuendoes. We can remember that they ignored the voice of the people, their constituents, by blocking emails, phone calls and faxes. We can remember that they have failed to perform their primary task as our representatives and that is to represent the people.
Yes we can.
We can remember the smile on Nancy Pelosi’s face as she led a group of liberal representatives through the protesting crowds in Washington to seal the fate of the health care industry in America. We can remember the massive gavel. We can remember the disdain displayed by those in Washington as they marched to their political victory at the cost of the future of this country. We can remember the lies about Obamacare, the cost estimates that have since been proven false, and the recommendation that the bill be passed so that we could learn what it contained. We can remember the thousands of pages and the failure of Congress to even read the bill. And we can remember the town hall meetings where our representatives hid behind union thugs and fake security threats to ignore our protests.
Yes we can.
We can remember the deficit that has skyrocketed since this regime took power. We can remember the once great American auto industry reduced to government pawns as the government used our money to buy the companies. We can remember the smiles on the faces of “fat-cat” Democrat donors as the accepted stacks of our tax dollars to ensure their future support of this American aristocracy. We can remember TARP, and the abuse of our money by this regime. We can remember “Porkulous” and how our money was used to buy votes for other Obama regime initiatives. We can remember our money used for the “Cornhusker Kickback” and the “Louisiana Purchase”. And we can remember our money being spent on pet projects across this nation while many of us lost our jobs and struggled to make ends meet.
Yes we can.
We can remember the broken promises of the campaign. We can remember that no person who made less than $250,000 annually would see their taxes increase. We can remember the ensuing increases of tobacco taxes. We can remember the tax increases in the Obamacare bill. We can remember the promises of a new tax to cover costs of a health care bill that was reported to be budget neutral. We can remember that a tax cut that expires is not the same as a tax increase, and that those who hold the purse strings of this nation spend our money as if it grew on trees. And we can remember the threats of tax increases from a regime that has grown fat on our money while demanding that we give more. And more. And more.
Yes we can.
We can remember allies offended, and the subjection of our American might to dictators around the globe. We can remember “The Apology Tour”, the protocol blunders, the DVD’s, the snubbing, the canceled meetings, the bowing, and the golf games. We can remember the rising body count of our finest men and women while this regime waited four months to make one decision regarding our foreign policy. We can remember the glory of this nation trampled under the feet of this regime. We can remember our bravest warriors held up to foreign ridicule and derision while the vilest of our enemies were treated to meals of their choice, trials in our courts, and the protection of our laws. We can remember Gitmo. We can remember Jerusalem. We can remember Berlin. And we can remember that there was a time when this nation was held with respect by our allies and fear by our enemies.
Yes we can.
We can remember the aristocratic air of this regime as they excluded themselves from the laws they deemed to pass. We can remember that this is a nation of, by, and for The People, not governed by a single dictator but by the will of the governed. We can remember that we have one single, powerful voice that will echo around the world on election day. We can remember that the American dream is built by the private sector, not granted by a central government. And we can remember that this nation has been, can be, and will be a shining beacon of freedom for the world.
Yes we can. And we will remember in November. November 2nd, 2010 we will remember, and you will never forget.
