This week we are going to explore what government funded really means. You have Government spending in just about every sector of the economy, and having dealt with federally funded projects in the past I have a little inside information about what really it means by federal funds. Federal funding is about control. It seems as though every article I read about a new Obama mandate it includes the term “it will affect ______ that receive government funding.”
It doesn’t matter whether we are talking about hospitals that receive Medicare funding, farmers receiving Government subsidies, or Wall Street banks. That is why Obama and his administration was so willing to push for a government takeover of GM, control.
I don’t know if I am the only one that is noticing this trend about our commander and chief and his pals in the house and senate, but they are so arrogant that they keep taking liberties from the people of this country. The last time liberty was jeopardized it was by a king on the other side of the pond and I hope I don’t have to tell you how the people responded because it was the birth of this country.
Well that is what is happening yet again; our liberties are disappearing every time Obama opens his mouth. That is really what the Health care bill was about, control. If it was about healthcare reform you would not see things in the bill mandating restaurants put nutrition facts on their menus. If it was not about control it would not take 4 reams of paper just to print one copy. Obama will tell you that the government health insurance plan will compete against private insurance plans; however, I am sure that the doctors and hospitals that accept this plan will fall under a whole new set of rules and regulations about how they can run their businesses.
You see even in the private sector there is no such thing as a no strings attached loan, there will always be some sort of collateral needed or even equity in some cases. And of course this makes perfect sense especially when we are talking about large sums of money. When the government loans the money, however, they want collateral and something else that I feel is worth no sum of money, your autonomy.
