State Run Media

One of the greatest tragedies in recent history is the loss of our free press.  We can no longer rely on information from our media because the media is controlled by the government.  Today’s CNN is no better than Pravda.  The only people who don’t realize this are the members of the state run media.

It’s hard to believe that we have a right to a free press when B. Hussein can throw members of that press off his plane.  It’s difficult to accept that the media has a protected right to report on the news as it happens, when they so consistently ignore the news, or worse turn it into an opinion piece for themselves.  Did you know that gas prices in the US are at a six-month high?  No?  You would have to read the UK Guardian to find the story.  Did you know that Jack Murtha is getting an airport, built with stimulus money,  named in his honor?  The web could have told you, but not the state run media.  They only report the stories that the government approves.  Apparently it was more important to the various news editors to report on Miss California than to tell the American People that several hundred million dollars of their tax money was being spent to build an airport named for a traitor.  Yes, Murtha is a traitor, and a crook, but that is another blog.

There was a time when we could rely on The New York Times to provide “All the News That’s Fit to Print”.  Now, The Times routinely spikes critical stories to prevent negatively impacting the advancement of their agenda.  Selecting which story to print based on impact is propaganda, not news.  Ignoring facts within a story that do not reflect a selected point of view is spin and bias, not reporting.  The Democrat Party has quite a PR arm when it comes to the State Run Media.  Most Americans still look to these monoliths as sources of truth, at least for now.  However, the public is turning away from these state controlled propaganda outlets in an effort to find facts.  So, to prevent the loss of such a powerful tool for controlling the masses, the Democrat party has decided they want to “regulate” (read destroy) any source of information that does not spew the party bile.  Take a look at recent efforts to regulate the internet, talk radio, and even other broadcast medium such as cable.  The Democrat controlled CONgress is desperately trying to prevent your migration from their state run information outlets.  They don’t want you getting your information from the UK Guardian, because it becomes harder to convince you that B. Hussein has saved the country.

We are rapidly (too rapidly) heading into a place from which the return will take several generations.  Our electorate will be uneducated, uninformed, and duped into believing whatever the state run media would have them believe.  They will vote for whatever they are told, and they will be kept enslaved by a government that says they want to help, but really wants to control.  The Democrats already control our education systems.  If you question that statement, go to an NEA meeting.  Now they are working to finalize and consolidate control over the news and information that you and I consume as part of our daily lives.  If allowed, they will eliminate information sources that do not agree with their approved message and force you to get your information from their selected sources.  Those media outlets that do not want to be eliminated will be forced to spew the same government-approved story line found in The New York Times.  Soon we will have a state-run newspaper to go with our state-run banks, automakers, and possibly hospitals.  The government will control every aspect of your life.  The sad thing is, you will like it.  You will like it, or you will be “re-educated”.  That is the final step to complete government control.  The government is already demonizing those who speak against it.  Think of the recent Tea Party protests.  Remember the government perspective?  Remember the state-run media reporter from CNN and her attack on those who were protesting the government?  Did we see similar action against those who protested the AIG bonuses?  No, because those protestors supported the party line.  TEA Party protestors were opposed to the party line, so they were attacked by the party’s reporter.

We are frighteningly close to the brink my friends.  We are just a few pieces of legislation away from state-run hospitals.  Just a few votes away from eliminating the remnants of the free press in radio and the internet.  These will be the final preparatory steps that will lead to complete control by the government.  We have one last chance to prevent the total destruction of our free nation and its “remaking” into a Socialist state.  That chance is the 2010 election.  You are being boiled, dear frog.  Time to get your ass out of the water.
