The Conservative Cowboy

I have been having a little trouble on deciding what to write about this week, not because there is a lack of things to write about but mainly because Barry is shooting himself in the foot.  The more poll results that I see about the way the people feel, the more faith that I have in the people of this country; faith that we have realized our mistake and that we will rectify that mistake staring in 2010.  The majority of the people in this country realize that Barry did not deserve the Nobel peace prize after less than a month in office.  The majority of the people do not want to allow the government to sell health insurance.  The majority of the people in this country realize that more government control is not going to fix our situation.

My critics would say……..wait.

The Dow Jones shot back over 10,000 points today.  That means that the stimulus worked.

I am going to call the BS card right now on that statement.  I have heard some reports stating that the country should just get used to the 10% unemployment rate because that is going to be the new standard.  My first question there is why? (See my previous post “Risky Business” or “Scary Implications”) And you will find the answer to that question of why a government controlled economy doesn’t work.

The good thing that I see coming out of this big mistake that we made as a country (election of 2008 incase you were wondering) is that we are seeing an increased number of people actually getting involved with politics, understanding who and what they want to vote for, being able to actually have a conversation about what is going on in Washington.  Now unfortunately you have to search for quality information because our media no longer report the news.  However, with the help of technology there are more sources of news out there then one person can read, and I think that the people of this country are realizing that the y have to watch multiple news channels, read multiple newspapers, and look at multiple websites in order to get all of the facts.  But I am getting off subject and that is what happens when there are so many problems with the road that this country is walking down.  Back to the positive message this Blog is supposed to convey.

People are getting more involved, especially in the typically hands off Right.  This of course is making the left sweat and thus gets even more involved.  This is exactly what is supposed to happen in our government, people that believe to have a vested interest in our government at all levels will get involved in voicing their opinions.  I see this as a good thing.  We are having a dialogue between the people and their representatives in increasing number.  I just hope that this involvement will continue after the Government stops trying to take away our personal liberties.  The people of this country must learn that their involvement is absolutely necessary for our form of Government to be successful, because of the simple fact that you are electing an individual to represent your best interests.  It is your duty to keep that representative informed about the way you feel on certain issues, this means that you must stay current on what is going on in Washington and the rest of the World.  And there I go again back off the subject.

Basically I am trying to say that as a country we need to see the silver lining of our One Big Ass Mistake America and that is that people are more involved in the government and I truly hope that trend continues, and I truly hope that the current administration leaves us with enough Liberty to take back the liberties that are being stolen on a daily basis.
