Cruel Un-Intentions

Voice of Adams

Hanlon’s Razor states, “Never attribute to malice that which is easily explained by stupidity”.  If applied to Liberals, it means they make some of the dumbest mistakes and don’t truly have an agenda to destroy the country.  Ok, that may be hard to accept, but let’s give them the benefit of the doubt.  You need search no further than “Bumbling” Joe Biden, our illustrious VP, for proof.  Joe now claims that he and Obama “guessed wrong” on the economy.  If you are “guessing” on any factor of an economy as large and complex as that of the United States, you are demonstrating an idiocy unparalleled in human history.

If we apply the concept of “Cruel Un-Intentions” to several Liberal policies, it becomes easier to understand why they would continue to pursue so many failures.  One solid example is the Welfare program.  Welfare is nothing more than modern-day slavery.  It is a primary factor in the destruction of the Black family in America today, and it is a pet program of Liberals.  Let’s assume that they did not intend to enslave the population by preventing them from learning skills, encouraging them to live off the government, and driving them into government-subsidized housing.  The intention was to free the impoverished, and give them a new start.  The result is a portion of the US that has never learned a marketable skill, does not know how to find a job, and can not live without being told how to do so.  It was not what Liberals had in mind, but the result is a cruel sub-subsistence based on government hand-outs.

Another cruel un-intention; medicare.  The medicare program is at least partly, if not mostly responsible for the high cost of health care today.  This was never the intent of our kind-hearted Liberal friends.  They wanted only to help the poor get the health care they needed.  But because the government, with an “unlimited” supply of funds, can pay whatever price is required, the normal market influences on price, supply and demand, are reduced to after-effects of the government-impacted pricing.  This explains part of the cost of the $90 aspirin you received the last time you went to the doctor.  So now, to address the issue of the high cost of health care, the government wants to further intrude on the industry by becoming a “competitor” with the insurance companies.  The result will be the same as before; a greater increase on the cost of health care.  Obama and company know this, so to keep the costs down they will ration the health care provided, thus impacting the supply.  With artificial supply controls, prices will climb still further, and so on.  It may be difficult to believe that this in not part of the Obama plan, but we must assume that stupidity is the factor, not malice.

Need more evidence?  Let’s talk cap and trade for a moment, shall we?  Obama wants to limit the amount of carbon you produce (note: you exhale carbon dioxide).  If you want to exceed that limit, you will need to purchase “carbon credits”.  The result in basically a tax on every breath you exhale.  It is also a massive tax on the energy industry.  Obama seems to think that the energy companies will simply suck up that cost, but we all know they won’t.  Even Obama has admitted that your energy costs will rise because those companies will pass their increased costs on to you.  But not just you directly, to everyone that uses their products.  Those consumers; the grocery stores, the clothing stores, all stores will pass their increased costs on to you.  The cap and trade plan will result in a cost increase of virtually every aspect of an American’s life because virtually every aspect is connected to energy.  So your milk, bread, new car, new shoes, all products will cost more because the energy to make, produce, store, and sell them will be increased by the Obama energy policy.  You don’t think he means it, do you?  It’s just a mistake, he doesn’t know any better.  Maybe he’s guessing wrong, just like he did with the stimulus package.

Ok, so it should be clear that many of these new policies, like amnesty for illegals and “card check” are not very well thought out.  If we assume cruel un-intentions, then we must accept that our Liberal friends want only to help us.  They want our lives to be better, they want us to succeed and to grow.  Yet it is clear that their efforts, however well intentioned, are causing the exact opposite effect.  One of the greatest presidents in recent history said that government is not the solution, it is the problem.  Ronald Reagan knew that for the American spirit to truly thrive, it must be unleashed from the harness of government.  That was the same idea our Founders had when the wrote our principle documents.  We must understand that government can not provide our happiness, they can only inhibit our pursuit of it.  American will do much better without the Liberal’s cruel un-intentions.
