Absolute Power

 Brushfire of Freedom

Voice of Adams

With the election of the comedian, Al Franken, to the US Senate for Minnesota, the Liberals in Congress now have enough power to push their agenda with little or no real threats.  This will most likely mean that the financial industry, banking, housing and lending, automobiles, pharmaceuticals, health care, energy and insurance industries will all fall under government control.  If you’re looking back through that list to see what it means to you, let’s see if I can shed some light.

Your future plans; college for the kids, retirement, that vacation planning, all now in the hands of Al Franken, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and B. Hussein Obama.  The new home you planned to buy will now fall fully under government regulation, meaning you may have to adhere to any of dozens of extensive government regulations including OSHA, FHA, Cap and Trade, and possibly even Barney Frank.  Your new car will be designed and provided by the same people who bring you AmTrak, the DMV, and the beloved TSA.  Your trips to the doctor, if you can get on the list, will be governed by the same people who brought you Viet Nam, FEMA, and Welfare Reform.  They will determine your illness, identify your treatment, evaluate your potential for survival, and decide whether you will receive the treatment prescribed.  Then your gasoline, power for your home, power for your office, and all other energy needs will be met by the same people who have, for the past several decades, failed to solve the very problems they claim must be addressed immediately.

And who can fault their methodology?  They pass multi-trillion dollar spending bills without even reading the content.  The result of this incredible strategy is:

$650 million for Digital-to-Analog Converter Box Program

$30 million for necessary expenses of the “Hollings Manufacturing Extension Partnership”

$140 million for “climate data modeling”

$250 million for “accelerating the development of the tier 1 set of Earth science climate research missions recommended by the National Academies Decadal Survey.”

$100 million for “Education and Human Resources”

$250 million for “Mississippi River and Tributaries”

$2 billion for development of advanced batteries

$1 billion for expenses necessary for advanced battery manufacturing

$1 billion for the Advanced Battery Loan Guarantee Program

$150 million for deferred maintenance at the Smithsonian museums

$50 million in grants to fund “arts projects and activities which preserve jobs in the non-profit arts sector threatened by declines in philanthropic and other support during the current economic downturn” through the National Endowment for the Arts

$1 billion for Low-Income Home Energy Assistance

$500 million to improve processing of disability and retirement claims

$300 million for Amtrak capital needs

$79 billion in education funds for states

Quite clearly, the plan to push legislation through the House and Senate at break-neck pace is not delivering the results one would hope.

So let’s take a look into 2010.  We will assume now that B. Hussein and his pals have managed to rush through all of the “hope and change” that they have in mind for America.  What do you think will be their next steps?  Well, if you’ve spent only a few moments reviewing all the potential programs our government is planning to run, and if you recognize the fact that no government organization actually generates a profit (US Postal is a fine example), then you would be trying to determine how all of this will be funded.  You would then quickly deduce that the next step in 2010 will be tax increases.  Increases by the way that our President campaigned against when he ran for office (read my lips...”).  If you think my conclusion is incorrect, you need only take a look at the Bush tax cuts and the fact that they are due to sunset in 2010.  The Liberals in Congress can simply set on their hands and Americans, ALL Americans, will get a tax increase.  Then of course you have their Cap and Trade bill which will raise taxes on energy, and thus raise cost of energy on Americans and American business.

So let’s take this to its logical conclusion.  Using the power of two branches of government, Liberals will abscond with a vast majority of the US Economy, then tax the very private citizens in that economy to pay for the management of those businesses.  Just to paint a picture, if you are in health care today, you will be working for the government once Obamacare passes.  Then, in order to pay your salary and that of your co-workers, Obama will raise your taxes.  Your paycheck, now regulated by the federal government, will get smaller in order to keep socialized medicine afloat.  The health care industry will not be the only ones impacted this way, but you can see where this is going in 2010.  So to map the whole thing out; another liberal clown elected, absolute power secured, economy in government hands, taxes increased, more wasteful spending, more tax increases, fewer private sector employees, more tax increases to offset job losses, more job losses, and down we go.  Since the election of Al “Stuart Smalley” Franken, the Liberals in our government have the absolute power to fully enact their strategy.  They have already admitted that they have “guessed wrong” on several key economic factors.  I guess 2010 will tell us just how wrong they might be.
